Sarah supports Rise Community Capital through project engagement with CDE/CDFI and project sponsor client as well as with strategic initiatives. She brings over a decade of experience in creative financing for community development and real estate projects.
Previously, Sarah was the Vice President and Senior Loan Officer at PIDC in Philadelphia, responsible for deploying a diverse set of real estate capital products including construction & bridge financing, New Markets Tax Credits, CDBG & HUD 108, EB-5, and other specialized programs. During her six years at PIDC, she successfully deployed $160 million to for-profit and nonprofit borrowers in a wide variety of industries including office, mixed-use, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, and education.
Prior to PIDC, Sarah worked for the Pittsburgh non-profit economic development entity RIDC where she worked in several aspects of the real estate development process including analyzing, pursuing, and closing the financing for real estate projects as well as overseeing community & stakeholder engagement. Sarah has also worked on community development projects in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and her hometown of Youngstown, Ohio.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University, a Master of Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III College and was a 2008 Teach For America corps member in St. Louis, MO where she taught high school mathematics. Sarah lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
